There are many websites available that contain useful information for both Senior and Junior speakers in preparing for debates - whether that's checking order papers or having a look for smart ideas to win the argument. Here are a few:

  • Your first port of call should, of course, be http://www.google.ie/ - the biggest and best search engine
  • After that, try http://debatepedia.idebate.org - basically a Wikipedia for debating topics
  • Next up is http://debatepedia.idebate.org - which looks like the same one but if you look down the bottom you should see a section titled "Debatabase", which has tons of topics for Junior students
  • http://www.irishschoolsdebating.com - should take you to the homepage of Denny's - just click on the link with Leinster in the title
  • www.juniordebating.com - should take you to the homepage of Junior Schools; one of the tabs also contains a motions database which could come in handy for Maces, for example
On a side note, the following websites are crucial for organising transport to and from debates :)
